"A party in her honor" seems a bit disingenuous, or taking liberty at the least. She was listed as an attendee at an after-party of one of her premiers (at Maxwell's residence). As high end NYC socialites I'm sure they crossed the paths of, and knew many other successful New Yorkers.
Personally, I don't give a shit if they find her guilty of something and throw away the key. I'm not emotionally invested in her. Your fixation on her and no one else is pretty telling, though.
