Did you even follow the fucking draft? There wasn’t a single consensus starting LT in the 1st round. Even Campbell is projected to be kicked inside at the next level. The next two guys are projected RTs. You want them to take the 4th tackle off the board and hope he works out?

Braxton Jones has been fine (i.e. not the problem). He is still pretty young and should only get better. There wasn’t no one in this draft that is an obvious upgrade.
For the 3rd time. It's what the NFL writer for the fishwrap said.
If you want to bitch at him, maybe text him.

"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Based on this, it actually sounds like they need a LT.

If only one had been available at 10.

I'm trying to say what the writer said.

Protecting Williams with someone who is more than "serviceable" would have been a better route than picking a position that Williams doesn't throw to.

This you?

Yep.
And for the 4th time,, that is what the writer said.
Tho I took the liberty of adding in your description of the Bears LT.

Well you gave every impression you agreed with him. Were you not agreeing with him?

I’m mostly in on the first two days (not sure about Trapilo). I’m not convinced they got much done day 3.

The NFL writer said Loveland can help the Bears but how much remains to be seen.
I did say he will help the Bears. He is a threat as a receiver.

Other than that,  I gave you what an NFC North writer who doesn't cover the Bears had in his column this morning.

Loveland has WR skills that Warren doesn't have but Warren is a beast with twice as many receptions and yards as Loveland had last year.
Warren is more in the Ditka mold.

I don’t think Ben Johnson is looking for a Mike Ditka. He wants a Sam LaPorta.

I think Warren played in 4-5 more games and had better quarterback play. Both had solid numbers, college stats don’t concern me much.

Warren actually played in 6 more games than Loveland.

Draft didn’t go anything like I wanted it to, but I give it a B. If BJ is the offensive guru he’s supposed to be he has the weapons to make it happen. I know, I know, the Oline. Well it should be vastly improved. Might not be a top 5 line right away but it should be mostly solid.

Loveland - once it was obviously the Bears who were making the pick, this is the pick I expected and I like it more than I did then. I think we’re gonna like this kid.

Burden - just too good of a player to pass up on. Few teams will be able to match the weaponry of the Bears.

Trapilo - like the player, just not sure how he fits. Unless they think he can play LT? Or…they are planning on moving Wright to the left side (I don’t think this will happen). A 2nd rounder needs to be a starter or rotational piece on this team. I’d be surprised if he’s either anytime real soon.

Turner - like what I’ve heard about him. Plays angry. As I heard someone else say, “better to have to say whoa than go” with DLineman. Played all last year on a fractured shin I think it was so you know he’s tough.

Have not had much of a chance to research day 3 guys but this is what I think I’ve heard and my initial reaction:

Hypolitte - sounds like an athlete. Heard he could have been gotten much later.

Frazier - DB with lots of speed and length/high upside player. Would like to have gotten Zach Frazier and Zah Frazier!

Newman - guard who apparently lacks strength. Poles must see something in him.

Monangai - this pick makes little sense to me (I expect Travis Homer to make the team). Drafting a stud RB I could see, I don’t see where an end of roster guy fits. Maybe they think they got a steal.

Overall, I give the Bears B. Wondering how the pieces fit. Seems they went with a BPA strategy. I think they got several players snatched out from under them.

Wow, Hyppolite sounds like an unusual player. 5’11 236 but great speed and instincts. Not much of a tackler though? I guess this is where we trust Dennis Allen. I’m guessing he thinks he can find a spot for him. Weird to see a guy built like that who’s a speed guy.

KC would’ve been a perfect landing spot for Shedeur. Sit, mature, learn the game from the best. Andy would have put an end to the circus.
