Riley was definately our Royal in the 2nd half for sure!!!

Well done kid.

Imagine scoring in the paint, and getting 2 points vs missing 30 3'pters?

Who knew that could be successful?

Almost 50/50 pt distribution starters vs bench players today...probably need to keep that and this gameplan moving forward.

We have an inside-out game that will be hard to match offensively by most teams along with our rebounding, there is really no reason to rely so heavily on 3's unless we are absolutely HOT in some games.

Blowing wide open lay ups. Yeah we're cooked.

Outscored OSU 46-27 after I made this post.

If this wasn't a must win, it was pretty damn close to one. Riley and Morez saved the day.
Official winner of the HQ Tallest Midget award. Thanks, Jobu!

Shew

Brought my new cooker home from Knoxville last night and went out and started piddling with that once we got down 11 since it’s 65 degrees here today. Put it on the radio and we turned the corner. You’re welcome.

Our three-point shooting seems to be all or nothing. It’s kind of a double edge sword on three-point shooting because you can bury a team so quickly when we’re hitting and we got the guys that can do it. The problem is is that they all seem to be on fire on the same night and all cold on the other nights. So at least maybe going forward when shots aren’t falling like this game we can transition to a different approach in the second half. We’ve been running into this here a bunch lately and the response has been to just continue jacking threes and hoping that all of a sudden we’ll catch fire and that hasn’t really ever seemed to be the case. It’s really an interesting dichotomy, and it probably does make it tougher from a strategy standpoint for the coaching staff.

I think at this point it is safe to say this is a below average 3 Pt shooting team at best. We do have 4 guys (KJ,Boswell,DGL, Riley) who appear to be able to create their own shot and/or penetrate to some degree.
This isn't rocket science. KJ especially is like a fcking Matrix character and all arms and elbows in the lane and a foul drawing machine.

Staff need to adjust.
