The defense sucked, until they got into the Red Zone in the 1st half at least.

And the offense sucked even more. This isn’t rocket science, this is literally 1+1=2

Nope. Maybe the Bear should skip the scripted plays and just let Williams freelance like when they are losing in the 4th quarter.

It’s only been recently they’ve struggled with scripted plays. Earlier in the year they were doing pretty well then struggling when off script.

Ben Johnson is holding the Bears back, let Caleb run the team! Player/coach!

It is pretty amazing how they can just be complete dog shit for 3 quarters and then find a way to make it interesting or even win in the fourth quarter. Their luck has run out on them recently and I don’t expect it to magically return in the playoffs when real shit is on the line. Maybe next year we’ll be our year. Unless they just play the two minute drill the entire game.

After reading this, I feel boosted in my confidence the Bears will win this week.

Teams that wait until the 4th quarter to start playing generally don't fare too well, but it gives the HC the time to rehearse the old 'it's my fault. I didn't get them ready to play' post game presser.

Bring your own guts.
Dabo Swinney

That’s not a presser a coach wants to have that many times.

It’s pretty amazing that ThePAMan doesn’t understand that an offense is allowed to get first downs and run some clock.

The opponent's DC post-game: 'Their offense was having a tough time so we allowed them to get 1st downs and run some clock.'

I don't think it works that way. Lol

Sonetimes yes, quite a few times no.

I understand that and the need for the defense to get off the field without giving up long drives.

Ben Johnson has some things to work on. Williams has a ton to work on.

Considering that you did not know at half time that the Bear pass run ratio was about 50/50 at that point, your analysis of the Bear offense is devastating.

Yes, what you don’t seem to understand is that by doing their part, the offense can help keep the defense off the field. This is as two-way of a street as it gets.

Of course. But the D giving up points every drive in the 1st half would still he problematic if it is 5 drives or 3.
