No shortage of people, as pointed out by none other than Hoge’s partner Mark Carman that believe Caleb’s focus and work ethic weren’t to the levels they should be.

“Within the Bears organization” should be added.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Seems I was perfectly within reason to question Caleb’s “priorities?!” at that time.

Now you believe Mark Carmen, Brad Biggs, and David Kaplan? Interesting
Mark Carman: "The Whitlock!...Caleb Williams failed Wayne Whitlock." Been told I need to take my dick out my mouth so maybe I "wont [sic] sound like such a fucking faggot all the time[.]"

Tempo: "PAMan is a pot stirrer and agent provocateur"

You did. Now they’re not credible?

PAMan’s #1 go-to move. Delegitimize the source, no matter who it is.

Or even if you found them credible in the past.

Can’t say if I ever refuted anything Carman or Kaplan have reported. I don’t listen to them enough to have strong opinions on their opinions. I did once say that Brad Biggs’ gut feeling on the quarterback situation wasn’t necessarily a be all end all on what the Bears would do at quarterback.

Got it.

Interesting that these claims come out after the guy complained about the lack of film study assistance he got last year. Someone covering their ass?

Why would they cover their ass? They’re gone.

No shortage of former NFL players came out and said film study is on the players (not that I totally agree with that in this case), but many weren’t too sympathetic to Caleb.

At first I was perturbed that Caleb didn’t get the proper tutelage (not bringing in a veteran to mentor him was a huge Poles mistake and I said so at the time), but as I heard more qualified opinions on it, I felt less POd and sympathetic. Too embarrassed to call Peyton Manning or Tom Brady and ask what to look for? As Emmanuel Acho said, they would take your call.

But it led us to where we are, where we think we probably have a real coach now, so water under the bridge. He’s basically a rookie again anyway.

Still would want to cover their asses. Playing the long game. Including Poles.

We obviously don't know what happened. Just that the timing is suspicious as it came after the relevations in the book.

The relevations in the book itself are odd. Where were all the Bear experts/insiders that you listen to on the Score and read via the Twotter last year? None of them had any of this stuff despite "living at Halas Hall." Hmmmm
