I remember opening day 1985, when the Bears came in with very high expectations, and were down 28-17 at the half at home to the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bears never did recover that season…
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

You really are comparing the 85 Bear, coming off an NFC Championship Game loss, to Eberlose/Poles' 24 Bear?

Where is Spark when you actually need him?

Johnson would probably be my top choice, but Pete Carroll is a very close 2nd.

Tempo defending the final Seahawk play call in Super Bowl XLIX because Carroll is now His Guy is one of the most amazing text threads ever....Hilarious and unbelievable

Tempo has the absolute dumbest take on that final play. It is truly something to behold.

Again, hindsight is 100%. Marshawn Lynch from the 1 yard line that year, 20%. It was a terrible call because everyone had the benefit of hindsight. Confirmation bias is so prevalent, many don’t even understand when they are employing it.

And what’s hilarious is junking the idea of not hiring one of the best football coaches of all time because of one potentially bad call.

If the play works, Collinsworth and Michaels are calling it one of the greatest play calls in history. One dude blew up the play.

Let’s just go ahead and say it was a terrible call. That means Pete Carroll is a terrible hire for the Bears? Absurd. He’s literally got a HOF college and NFL résumé.

As I told PAMan, I’m surprised he thinks the 85 Bears were any good since they weren’t perfect and were embarrassed by Marino and the Dolphins. Maybe lucky the Dolphins didn’t make it to the Super Bowl.

A little reminder: Pete Carroll built one of the most dominant defenses in NFL history largely with mid round draft picks.

And he turned an undersized third round draft pick into a Hall of Fame caliber quarterback
