It’s the same dudes, minus the Center. And they should be better because they are a year older and played more snaps together. Theoretically they upgraded at Center.

This is exactly what I said. The same dudes (minus the Center) started the game. The new RG was not brought in to start at RG.

The offensive line is the new Fields argument I guess

He literally blamed Fields for them looking bad, and in the same time frame said everyone of them needed replacing. This is 100% factual.

It was essentially the same line. The only exception was we were supposed to have an upgrade at Center.

You are the one trolling here. Did you not do both of these things last year:

1) Blame Justin Fields for the perceived difficulties of the OLine.

2) Also say that the entire offensive line needed replacing.

If you say no to either you are lying.

Fields took the longest time to throw the ball. He cannot do that if he did not have time to throw.

The line does suck. It looked worse Sunday than it did last year. Run blocking was bad too.

The weed over the years and The COVID has obviously impacted your cognitive abilities.

Both can be 100% true. They have not gotten better. They are getting worse.

As you just admitted, you were wrong. 2/5 guys were new for much of the game and the C was actually worse than the guys who played C last year. Especially when you know that the C is calling out the line protections.

No, you blamed Fields and absolved the line. Many times. You know it’s true. You just got caught both sidsing it (as you often do).

Four of the five starters were the same. And I acknowledged this very fact on game day.

How can I blame Fields and absolve the line,  when, as you admit, I said the line needed to be upgraded?

The fact is Fields made the line worse. They have gotten worse since last year. At least what we saw in Game 1. The C was a turnstile. Bates was no better than  Davis and worse than all the guys who played RG last year when. Davis was just collecting a paycheck.

Except Bates played more than  2x the snaps at RG.

According to PFF 4 of the top 6 offensive starter grades were had by offensive linemen. Your boy Nate Davis was apparently 2nd best offensive starter on the team. Seems weird though, because I don’t remember hearing Braxton Jones’ name said much. I’m considering re-watching the game.

We saw how bad the offense was.

From what I heard PFF is guys like you and me watching the game and coming up with these grades. There is no consideration of missed assignments, etc. etc. So someone may look bad on a play when he was covering for a teammate who is the one who fucked up.

Looks like PAMan will have to reverse course on the narrative that Nate Davis was benched. Also, I will say one play where Coleman looked especially bad he was inadvertently tripped while pass blocking by Teven Jenkins.

Those quotes were from the world’s greatest newspaper, the Chicago Tribune.

I agree with Baldy and basically said this in the game thread.
