Nobody here is disputing that the LGBTQ population is most affected by the monkeypox outbreaks.  And I think we are all glad that public health officials and interest groups are sounding the alarm. 

But we largely don’t know the extent of the outbreaks among LGBTQ people.  Except for the U.S. and Europe, few national agencies are disaggregating data to confirm the prevalence of monkeypox at the country level among the affected subpopulations, including statistics on gay, bisexual, or other men who have sex with men.
