Trump makes up this shit that he offered Pelosi troops to get you to argue that this isn't Pelosi's perogative so now we are arguing about whether or not Pelosi was offered troops or whether she is allowed to accept troops instead of focusing on the fact that Trump sent his minions to go bash up the capitol. A classic distraction by trump and it keeps working

Who is responsible for Capitol security ?
The Capitol Police Board composed of the Architect and the 2 sargeants-at-arms who reported to Pelosi and McConnell.
Trump has to authorize the troops and then the determinations on use were made by the Board, 2 of whose members report to Pelosi and McConnell.
In a situation where "optics" may be a concern, who makes the final decision ?
I don't remember McConnell's name ever being attached to "optics".
Pelosi accepted responsibility. One of the decision makers reported to her.
For some unknown reason, Pelosi's daughter was there to film on Jan 6.

Wasn't the Jan6 committee supposed to figure this all out ? Or was that in their deleted files ?
