Inflation has been lower than expected. There are three reasons.

*Front loading: Importers stocked up on imports early, before tariffs kicked in.

*Stalling by absorbing the cost:  Importers are delaying passing on the cost of tariffs until the rates become clearer. They'd rather eat the cost for now than lose market share by increasing prices prematurely.

*Loophole leveraging. There are a couple or so ways to postpone the imposition of tariffs or even a temporary exemption.

Watched a short piece from Victor Davis Hanson last night about how Iran is hated the world over, but of the very few groups on earth that support them right now are American Democrats/Progressives.

It’s absolutely amazing how Trump has most of the left rabidly supporting deeply unpopular overall political positions, including openly wishcasting that the air strikes to limit Iran’s ability to build nuclear weapons weren’t successful.

No one here really knows how effective the strikes were, but there has definitely been an eagerness from the American left to embrace Iranian reports that the bombs didn’t do anything. These people won’t give Trump a W no matter what he does, even when it’s something that very clearly benefits America/the world.

These people are ideologically captured and cannot be trusted. Luckily they have the Democrat party so crippled that the midterms should be a walk in the park and the good guys can continue to rid our country (and the world) of the criminal scum that Obama3 let run rampant during his 4 year snooze.
