Trade deal with the UK drops today. China’s top trade official is meeting with us in Switzerland this week. Now is the time to make your pivot to “these deals suck!”

Deal was tailor made for Custard - tariff on Rolls Royce cut to zero, now Custard can get his new car!

Dammit I just bought an Armada 2 weeks ago and made my Rubicon a weekend Jeep.

It appears Trump is negotiating with himself.  You can see why the world leaders tremble, facing such a master negotiator.

And “it’s up to Scott B.”  Trump’s setting him up like a clay pigeon at a trap shoot.

Guess you're as dumb as Trump. The tariff reduction wasn't on Rolls Royce cars, it was on Rolls Royce *engines*
Basically Boeing gave them a call and said "dude we can't build any more 737-Max planes to crash if we can't get the engines!"

I’ve seen the US-UK trade agreement being referred to as a “titanic nothingburger”.

Plus, it apparently is a “concept of a deal”.  The specifics still need to be hammered out.

this is true, but I think this should be dealt with in the James Carville way - "way to go Donald!" knowing that it won't really change our current downward trajectory.

We are being led by some real dumbasses. Some Ted Cruz podcaster guy gets on CNN. They are discussing the concept of not extending the tax cuts for the wealthy, the deficit means we need more revenue. He says "The tariffs will raise all this revenue" and people say the tariffs are bullshit, and he says "wait for the trade deals to be done" and they say "the point of the this trade war is Trump raised the tariffs to get the other countries to make a deal to lower their tariffs and we'd lower ours back down, but if we do that, then there will be no tariff income..." and he says "oh but we will bring in all these jobs and those people will pay taxes" - current US unemployment rate is 4.2%, who are these people who are going to take these jobs?

This is the most predictable response ever. I even pointed out that you all were going to pivot from “they aren’t reworking deals” to “these deals suck” hoping that you’d come up with something more interesting.

Custard would have some ice cream, his kid asks for the ice cream, he says only if you do your homework, kid says no, custard says here is the ice cream and claim he's a "deal maker"
