But yet you’re someone who bought the Steele Dossier lie, applauded lockdowns and still believes there was nothing Sleepy Joe could do about the border.

Can we trust Illiniray’s judgement? Is he capable of objectivity of any kind in regards to Trump? I’m unsure!

There was no Steele Dossier lie. It was always raw, unfiltered data. There was no Russia Hoax. No massive conspiracy to get Trump comparable to the Arkansas Project.

I never applauded lock downs. I wasn't always sure what a lock down was. There was less traffic, but otherwise lockdowns had little affect on my daily life. I guess it's because I don't hang out in bars, don't go to Church, and seldom eat out.

I did agree that closing smaller, poorly ventilated super spreader venues was probably a good idea. I supported masking too. Also, I am up to date on my Covid vaccines.

The border situation was / is  far more nuanced and difficult than Trumpsters will admit. In a perfect world, unlawful entry would be a civil offense like unlawful presence. We would also have adequate border agents, detention facilities, administrative law judges, and immigration courts.

The ultimate solution would be better conditions in shit hole countries so people don't want to come here unlawfully. Of course the Trumpists don't see global issues as our problem.

From Ray’s article:

Why the hell would they tip their hand leading up to negotiations? Just goes to show how anything can be spun to be negative. The whole point of creating the shock is to have everyone else on their heels and use the uncertainty to our advantage. But apparently half the country wants the administration to spell every move out for them ahead of time.

You appear to be viewing things through the lens of neo-mercantilism.

Trump didn't "outsmart" the world.  The best explanation I've found is that he was forced to pause the tariffs when Japan and others started to dump our bonds.

Guess we openly accept a piece from a publication that openly hates Trump, by a correspondent with 4 decades at said publication. I must have missed the part in his biography where he has any training or background in economics.
Maybe the stuff below the date is his economic resume'

Custard is right. The strategy has been on line. Fentanyl raw materials come from China.

I'm doing fine, Mn. Thanks. How are you?
I'm doing good too. Thanks. You seemed a little out of sorts the other day.

In a perfect world, ......
B.S.
And the Arkansas Project didn't involve allegations that an opposition candidate for POTUS was a puppet of a foreign power that is also a nuclear power and foe.
The FBI knew in Jan 2017 that the Steele Dossier was bogus but that didn't stop them from fabrications to the FISA Court to enable spying on a President.
Yes, the Russians tried to interfere in the 2016 election. And every other election. There's no evidence that their minimal involvement had any impact on the 2016 election. Mueller did 8ndict 12 Russians who will never set foot in America to face charges. Oh boy.

The Arkansas Project didn't have the impact on US foreign relations or US domestic relations that the Clinton plan has had. Thanks Obama, Joe and the Intelligence Community who knew in July of 2016 what was going on. The FBI knew months later.
There were no secret communications between the Trump orbit and Alfa Bank.
There was no pee tape.
The FBI knew early on that Hunter's laptop was real.
People in the Biden administration and the media knew early that Biden was not fit to run the country.
When Schumer said the IC has 6 ways to Sunday he was telling the truth.

We don't live in a perfect world, and never will.

Not everyone appreciates Trump's genius.  And you will spin it as a success no matter the outcome.  MAGA!
