I didn’t know these new OT rules either for the playoffs apparently. I thought if SF scored a TD on that first drive it was over. Hence why they elected to receive the ball in OT when they won the coin toss. Otherwise I would have told them to defer and they would have elected to defer as well. Fucking stupid NFL implements that in the playoffs but different players n regular season. Just complete garbage and mismanagement.

If the game was tied up with a FG, the 49er would have a chance to end it with a FG. So there is that.
