These guys absolutely nail it like usual:

They are entertaining. He has Illinois in Final Four?

Illinois had 14 TOs and was 26% from three and missed 10 FTs and only shot 41%. It's not rocket science. We survived.

We had a couple droughts of several minutes with no baskets.
Our rebounding saved us.

Agree we are good team with some pretty good to very good parts but not sure we are really good- like EE good. And we could easily have a second round loss with no true end game playmaker or rim protector.
We need an MSU road win - and then a Wisky win, or a Purdue win in season or BTT.  Will give us battle tested confidence to win the R32 game which will likely be against a dangerous 5 or 6 seed.

Probably wouldn’t have been so close if Miles Leonard hadn’t had to start the thread

Sorry been moving snow today, sorta busy

That game should not have been as close as it was.  Gross!

I'm wondering if we were a little tired mentally and physically. We weren't sharp and shots weren't falling. I keep reading that we've played so many games in so many days but everybody does. The break might be coming at the right time.
On3.com predicts us moving up to #10. That wasn't a top 10 performance but we did get the win and that's what matters.

I'm happy with the win.   Obviously not our best game but we took Nebraska's best shot, multiple at that.   We missed some FT's but that was probably due to the insane rebounding effort we put forth to hang in the game when Tominaga was going nuclear.

At what point do we start discussing Domask being a 1st team all big ten player?  He was only in double figures in 2 of his first 7 games of the season.
Just in his last 5 games here are his stats.   25 rebounds, 22 assists, 92 points.  He's also shooting the 3 ball better in that time frame too.  5-15.  Over his last 10 games Domask is averaging 20.6 ppg!  Id imagine if he pulls close to 18ppg average by end of the season he will likely end up on it. He's certainly trending that way of late.

I think once you get past Edey there are about 6-7 guys that are possible.  Buie, Young, Braden Smith, Walker, Storr, Domask, Shannon.  Even Hawkins is starting to get in conversation if he continues his level of play. If we finish a close second one of the Illini likely will make it.
