It’s pretty hilarious that that kind of upgrade in talent wouldn’t obviously be worlds above what he’s had the last two years.

Then there is no reason whatsoever to make excuses for him right?  With that kind of upgrade in talent?

Terry McLaurin and a can’t miss WR with DJ, that’s about the best situation a QB could possibly ask for and it’s what you’re telling me Justin Fields needs to be a consistently above average QB.  If they get him those weapons and you’re still making a million excuses for him all the time it’s going to be fucking sickening.

Don’t think Joe Burrow was the obvious #1 his junior year. In fact, IIRC he almost came out of nowhere.

I should clarify to ask how often does that happen, where the guy in that position is as advertised and becomes one of the best QBs in the league?
