That’s absurd. A replacement level QB loses that game by 14 no problem.

A replacement level QB loses that game by 3.

A good QB wins it.

I love how when I point out that he's completely immune to all criticism in your eyes you tried to prove me wrong by saying "he wasn't perfect, or even HOF level today".

No fucking shit?

You constantly let others’ off the hook. I haven’t heard one word from you about Tonyan or Mooney that I’m aware of. You did mention the play-calling sucking, but yet Fields is a loser for not overcoming that against the best D line in the league on the road. Show some reasonable fucking expectations.

19/40, 166 passing yards, 1 TD, 0 INT.

7 carries, 30 yards.

10 offensive points, 7 of which came on a drive that started at the 2 yard line.

I think most people would agree that it's absurd to call that "replacement level" performance but I think they'd mostly mean something different than you do.

You literally have morphed into ThePAMan on this issue.

I do.

My expectations are "a consistently good passing QB".  I think those are "reasonable fucking expectations" for a QB at the end of his third season as a starter.  He is not that.

It isn't anyone else's fault that your expectations for Fields are buried in the basement.  My expectations are FAR more reasonable than yours - from what I can tell the criteria for you to say Fields played well enough are "he shows up to the game".

Did you notice the completely ineffective running game? The drops? The bad play calling? Why did Justin not overcome all of this? WTF?

If the PAMan didn't think that was a good game today by Fields, then sure.

It wasn't a very good game by Fields today.  We can pretend it was, or blame everyone else, we can deflect all blame and insulate him from any criticism.  None of this changes the fact that Fields didn't play a very good game today.  If he did you wouldn't have to come up with a half a dozen excuses for him.

And oh, our best WR clearly wasn’t healthy. I know, I know, more excuses!

My bad, I said best. I should have said our “good” WR.

Because he isn't a very good quarterback.

Did it ever occurs to you guys that if you were willing to spread some blame around, maybe I would be so defensive? Literally all I’ve heard for the last two years is how everything is Justin’s fault.

Overmatched OLine, non-existent run game, multiple crucial drops, admitted bad play-calling; but let’s get mad because the QB rating wasn’t NiCE.

That's funny - I pointed out the playcalling first.

You immediately started mocking me for thinking a good QB could've won the game.

You accept no criticism of Fields, ever, no matter what - so no, I don't think that if I "spread the blame around" you wouldn't be so defensive, because I did spread the blame around and you were still defensive.  I'm not willing to blame Mooney for "dropping" a flukey tipped Hail Mary from his back.  Would've been a hell of a play, but to put any amount of blame on him for that is absolutely fucking ridiculous and you know it.

You always are.  There's always a laundry list of excuses, every single time.  He's been mediocre to bad now since the Washington game, but you have at least five excuses for why and will deploy them any time someone acknowledges that he's been mediocre to bad since the Washington game.

I get it - you don't want to be wrong about Fields given how much you've dug in the last year and a half.  I didn't want you to be wrong about Fields either.  Unfortunately, he hasn't been very good.

Yeah, you pointed it out first. Then proceeded to blame Fields the rest of the way. Straight out of the PAMan playbook.
