Wesley Cardet Jr. was a borderline top 100 prospect in 2021. Turned down us and plenty of other high major offers to sign with Samford. Portaled to Chicago State in 2022.

His uncle, Gerald Gillion, is the current Chicago State HC and a former Samford assistant.
