I like our chances vs a team that was out-rebounded last night by the Goph's. Sparty out rebounded us barely without TSJ crashing the boards, plus this was an adjustment game vs the Goph's....next one up for us!

Per Barttorvik, Illinois might finish 23-8, 14-6 with losses to MSU, Purdue, and Wisconsin and flirting heavily with being a 5 seed in the BTT.   We really need to find a way to win 1 of those 3 games.   And also not lose to Maryland again which will be a challenge.  Not to mention playing Iowa on the road is never easy. 

A lot of games still to be played but we are going to have to beat a couple ranked teams if we want to get off the 4-5 seed line for the NCAA tournament.  We have that classic 4/5 seed resume. 

Honestly we may have a better shot at beating Purdue at home than to beat MSU or Wisky on the road.

A 4 or 5 seed is basically the same thing.
You play a one seed if you get out of the 4/5 R32 game.

Would be better to get to a 3 or drop to a 6. You play a 2 seed in S16 game.

There are only two games left in regular season that will help us move up, and a few that can hurt us.

Otherwise we need a run in BTT and knock off Wisconsin or Purdue in process.

The BT has a lot of mediocre teams that can get hot at home for a game and beat you.

FWIW CBS has us as a three seed right now. That would be a gift. Our signature win is on neutral court vs FAU who is #50 in Torvik.
