Boswell is basically what we thought we were getting in Skyy Clark.

Our Thursday opponent beat Ohio St today.

Have to come out with a ton more energy, effort and discipline than what we just showed against Maryland.

That insane level of ball movement and connectivity we’ve had disappeared the last two games. I do think part of the way we looked the last two games is guys having been pretty fucking sick and all that goes along with it. The other part is MSU came in wanting a rock fight and pretty much got one.

And Maryland is just not a good matchup for us, ever. There’s talent and length on that team. I feel like every year they have a whole roster of interchangeable dudes that all look about the same size and are athletic but not particularly skilled. And I only know the names of like 2 of them. Every other team in B1G I can at least name most of their contributors by this point in the season.

Anyways fuck Maryland because that changed the trajectory of the whole season and the perception of this team sans Shannon.

Win this game like we should have and we are still looking like contenders in the league and even have a little bit of margin for error.

But lose it and we kind of slip back into a group of teams chasing (or leading, for now) Purdue and lost any margin for error. Plus we changed a game like Purdue in Champaign to basically a must win versus a house money game in order to have a shot at a top 3-4 seed. And that’s only IF we win out at home and win half our away games. That’s how big this loss was imo.

Will come down to shooting. I have watched them a couple games when they were hot and they have a few guys who can fill it up. When not hitting they do not have a lot else except some athleticism.
OSU was 3/25 from three, and UM was 12/23.
Anything like that kind of differential cannot happen or we lose.

But you can say the same for any game on the road or home. Have to hit some shots. We shot like shit vs MD.
I hope the defense and rebounding gets back to a decent level each night.
One thing about our D is we do not force any TOs. We have to get extra possessions by a better rebounding margin.
That has not happened in last few games. Been out rebounded in 2 of last three games. Were just even vs MD.

Nothing easy on road anywhere.

The few fans at the Penn State WI game storming the floor? I didn't see that either

PSU's back court cooked the ever loving fuck out of Wisky's back court. And Wahab had some big time blocks at the rim.

I saw this and thought about tuning in, for a second or two. But then, nah. Wisco will get the win.

They are not a good team at all, but have had some good wins at home. We will need to be ready.

Who knows where we'll be when we go to Madison March 2. We then finish with PU and at xxxx. A tough 3 to finish.
We've got road games at MSU and at Md before then and need to get as many wins as possible in the other games before the final 3. The defensive intensity needs to come back, starting tomorrow.

14-6?

Agreed, but don't forget they got 1 Ace up the sleeve that we don't.

12-8 seems more likely to me unless something changes

Nebby chokes away a road win @Rutgers. Went the final 9 minutes of regulation without a made FG.
