I'll give every college coach gets a pass this season. Even Babers. In his defense, it's tough coaching football at Syracuse. For a state with a large population, NY high school football is decidedly mediocre. It's only going to get more challenging when Rutgers & Schiano start taking a few players from NY. Then again, nobody forced Babers to take that job; plus, he's from the Larry Brown school of short coaching stints before moving on to another program -- even as a lateral move.
